TATTOOED TODDLER

I'm not sure how many of you saw this, but there was a video posted last weekend of a mother from Cuba holding down her 3-year-old toddler while he was apparently being tattooed by a tattoo artist. This absolutely disgusting! What kind of a parent does this to their child? Better yet, what kind of a tattoo artist would agree to tattoo a child? Not one from the United States that's for sure! As a writer of a monthly tattoo column, I can tell you first hand that this would never happen in the US.

I will post the video below but not even I was able to watch the video through. It was torturous! In the minute-long clip, the mother, who appeared to be in her 30s, is seen pinning the child down as the tattoo artist tattooed his arm, while the mother repeatedly chanted "mira, mira, mira" to the toddler, which translates in English to "look, look, look", as house music blared in the background. What possesses people to act like this? Now, this poor kid has to grow up with something on his arm that probably won't even like.
The response from the online community has been obviously negative with one viewer saying, "That's seriously disturbing. Some people should not have the privilege to become a mother. You can clearly see that the child is in pain, and no one is doing anything!" Some other viewers suggested the tattoo was given for cultural reasons. Yeah, nice try! I have many Cuban friends and none of them were tattooed until they were older. It's hard enough to get a child to sit in a chair for the dentist or a hair cut! One viewer said that the mother should be jailed for child abuse and that it even makes her angry when she sees babies with their ears pierced, but this was absurd! She also said that she is actually someone who loves tattoos and has had many piercings herself!

I have to agree with the negative comments on this issue. My thoughts are that the mother should be jailed for child abuse because this is without a doubt in my mind, child abuse. As for the tattoo artist, he should be ashamed of himself and stripped of his tattooing license. Then again, it did happen in Cuba and they are a Communist country, so they don't actually follow the laws that we follow, but being a monthly tattoo columnist, I have to say that I am appalled by this video! Besides, we never got to see what kind of tattoo the kid even got! I wouldn't be surprised if it was the Cuban national flag!

HEROES OR CONVICTS? YOU TELL ME.....

This Colorado couple above, Dustin Canup, 20-years-old, and Sareena Morrison, 18-years-old, were recently busted in a disturbing scheme to lure child sex abusers to hotel rooms, rob them of all the cash they had on them, and kidnap their children. If you really think about it, was what they were doing really a crime? Or was it an act of vigilance? They were luring 'sex abusers' to hotels to punish them and then they were kidnapping their children. Is it kidnapping if you're trying to save the child?

Canup and Morrison were arrested at a motel in Loveland this past Friday in a sting operation set up by undercover police. According to police, the couple posted messages on Internet sex sites targeting men willing to sell their children for sex. After receiving a tip from an anonymous person who had seen their posting, Loveland police reached out to the couple posing as a man willing to pimp out his 6-year-old daughter. The group agreed to meet at the hotel, where the unsuspecting couple agreed to pay to 'have sex with the 6-year-old.' Police busted the pair when they knocked on the door at the Hi-Way Motel. Canup had a 12-inch knife strapped to his waist and handcuffs in his pocket. Okay, well that's a little dangerous, but besides weapon possession what did this couple do wrong?

The couple told the police that they planned to rob the man they were going to meet and then blackmail him into giving them his daughter to get her away from being sexually abused. They also said that they would've threatened to call the police if the man didn't comply. So, right there, it sounds like they were trying to be vigilant and save a child from being sexually assaulted anymore. Why is this couple in trouble? What about any of the sex offenders who actually answered their ad? Why aren't they in trouble with the law?

Canup and Morrison are facing charges of conspiracy, attempted kidnapping, attempted extortion, and a few other charges. They are being held in the Larimer County Jail. I ask again, is this couple, a couple of criminals? Or were they trying to be heroes and save the child while turning things around on the sex-abusive parent? Another thing that comes to mind is that maybe Canup and Morrison are child abusers also and were just telling the police that they were trying to save the child. Who knows how this sick world thinks? All I know is that from this story, these two sound like a couple of heroes to me. What do you think?

X-RATED PICS UPLOADED WITHOUT CONSENT

The girl in the photo above, Marianna Taschinger was dating a guy who wanted naked photos of her. She'd only been dating him for a few months, so she didn't feel comfortable sending him nude pics of herself. After a few days of coaxing, she did what he asked begrudgingly. Several weeks later, Taschinger found out that those private pictures had been posted on a website called Texxxan.com, along with her first name, last initial, and details about where she lived. The online user, who Taschinger believes is her now ex-boyfriend, called her one his 'exploits'. What a scumbag! Oh, it gets better! Taschinger went on to say that her called her a slut and promised to post more of her if people 'liked' what he'd posted so far. Who does this to someone? Then again, who sends naked photos of themselves to someone they actually hardly know?

Taschinger, believe it or not, is one of more than two dozen women, who plan on filing a class-action lawsuit against the Texxxan.com website, its host, GoDaddy.com, and individual users who post content to the site. The women allege that the site is 'significantly designed to cause severe embarrassment, humiliation, and emotional distress.' John Morgan, the lawyer involved with the case, said, "None of these women consented to having their photos used. This site has to be shut down." Wait a minute, though! The site shouldn't be responsible for these pics. The girls should be responsible because it they weren't such sluts, they would've have let these pictures leave their possession in the first place. Whatever happened to discretion? Let me get this straight; So, if I was to get mad at an ex and I posted some racy pictures of her on, say, Facebook to get back at her, Facebook should be getting sued or shut down? Of course, not! Facebook wouldn't have put those photos up, nor did they take the photos! All they would be doing is hosting the photos. It's really not the sites fault!

Texxxan.com is said to be just one of many 'revenge porn' sites, where jealous exes and computer hackers anonymously post and 'rate' pornographic images of women. The photos are usually posted without consent and included links to the victim's social media accounts, which actually makes the women extremely traceable. Okay, well, I don't agree with guys doing that. Before the lawsuit, anyone could rate and comment on Texxxan.com photos for free, but this past Friday, the site started restricting access to the public and only paid subscribers were able to enter.

32-year-old, Hollie Toups, a grad student from Nederland, Texas, found out that her private photos were appearing on Texxxan.com through a friend. She said that she shut everyone off from her life except for her mom. She also said that when people said hello to her in public, she wondered if it was because they were being polite or they've seen her boobs on the internet. Some women involved in the case have even lost their jobs after the pictures of them surfaced online. Morgan plans to seek compensation for the women and their losses. Don't get me wrong, I can see the wrong-doing in this. Men are scumbags, but you have to look at these women who would even allow these private photos of themselves leave their secret stash. I do believe that these guys are at fault, but these women aren't all as innocent as they are portraying to be. I still don't feel that the websites should be held responsible, but that's just me!

SUGAR BABIES SAY IT'S NOT PROSTITUTION!

What do you call it when younger women find older men to have sex with, and then have him pay for everything? You would call the guy a 'Sugar Daddy', right? But if that older gent is paying for the sex indirectly with gifts, is it still considered prostitution? According to these young women, it's not! Meet the sugar babies, the New York 20-somethings, who don't want to find a job, they just want to find an older man to pay their tuition, rent and buy them fancy gifts and take them on exclusive international vacations in return for a good time.

One such girl is Lovely Phillips, who says that she's really strict with her sexual partners and that it's always a monogamous relationship. She also added that they don't use the terms 'sugar daddy' or 'sugar baby' and that he calls her his girlfriend. Phillips is one of an increasing number of college coeds looking for May until December romances through matchmaking sites like SeekingArrangements.com, which hook up poor, pretty young women with rich, older men to cover their tuition and other expenses in exchange for companionship. According to the website, 285 NYU students and 100 Columbia University Ivy League students joined last year.

While these sugar daddy dating services insist that the girls are not obligated to get down and dirty with their benefactors, three NYC sugar babies admitted that sex is often a huge part of the package, but insist that it's on their own terms. I guess you really have to love 'old man balls' to really be into this. Then again, if you can find someone willing to pay your bills, I guess that's not too shabby of a deal, but it is prostitution and in my mind, you're a whore. Phillips will debate that statement saying, "I don't call it prostitution, because you're not being paid directly for sex. You are being helped financially in different ways: You go shopping, you go out to eat, you go to see plays, and you have fun. It's just like dating." It's just like dating? Yeah, only there are no feelings involved and this poor old guy is spending all of his money on you for sex. Sounds like a WHORE to me. One girl, Minoo Mirsaidi (nice fake name!), spent the last eight months living a life of luxury in a Times Square condo with a doorman and an indoor pool thanks to her 75-year-old sugar daddy. This is absolutely disgusting!

It seems these sugar daddy dating sites have taken the place of the modern day madams, and to those women out there reading this, who are thinking that this might not be a bad idea to get your bills paid, stick to your day jobs! At least with your day job, you still have your dignity and you're not giving a little piece of yourself to every 'old man Winters' that you'll have to date. Just think about it for a minute. It would be sort of like dating your grandfather and having sex with him. Is that worth getting your bills paid? I think I've said enough....I'm starting to make myself sick!

D.U.I.-DRILLING UNDER THE INFLUENCE.....

As if going to the dentist wasn't nerve-racking enough, now you have to worry about your dentist being intoxicated while he's in your mouth. Meet Dr. Robert Garelick from Lindenhurst, New York. He was recently pulled out of his Long Island office in handcuffs after his dental hygienist smelled booze on his breath and caught him administering Novocain to the wrong side of a patient's mouth. The hygienist, Kimberly Curtis said that she observed Dr. Garelick looking for cavities in the right side of the patient’s mouth, but the cavities were on the left side. When she pointed this out to the dentist, he ordered more Novocain for the patient. So, basically, he wanted to numb the whole patient's mouth. This is unbelievable! This is supposed to be some guy that we are supposed to trust with our mouths?

Apparently, this wasn't the first incident, where Dr. Garelick was boozed up on the job. Curtis told the police that once he showed up to work so wasted that he had to call his wife because he could barely stand. I think that's pretty professional! This is definitely the type of dentist that I want working on my mouth! What make people act this way? What you do after you're done working on people's mouths is your own business. Why would you get drunk and put people's lives into your own drunk hands? This is such an atrocity! Anyway, after noticing Dr. Garelick's wobbly behavior this past Monday, she texted co-worker, Dina Fara, who called 911. According to Curtis, she sent the text after the drunken dentist used a drill to treat another patient who had a chipped tooth. She said, "He was filing the tooth down. When you're using that drill, you have to be very careful and have a steady hand." Garelick, clearly, did not have a steady hand.

Curtis went on to say that before Garelick treated the patient with the chipped tooth, he slipped into his office where she noticed he was drinking from a white and purple squeeze bottle. She said that at first, she didn't think anything of it until he walked past her and a strong odor of alcohol slapped her in the face. Curtis said that while Garelick was drilling on the patient's tooth, she went into his office and found the bottle filled with vodka under his desk. It was then that she knew she had to text Fara out of concern for the patients.

Dr. Garelick claimed he only had a couple of beers with pizza during lunch on Monday, but later confessed to being wasted on this way to the precinct. He was charged with a misdemeanor reckless endangerment. Garelick's attorney was quick to point out that no patient was injured during this incident. Is that even serious? It sounds like the lawyer is as much of a quack as the dentist is! It doesn't matter if any patients were injured! The point is they could have been injured because your client was a drunken mess and put their lives in jeopardy! Someone like this should not be allowed to practice medicine or work on people's teeth! I hope for all of our sakes, Dr. Garelick gets stripped of his dentistry license. He doesn't deserve to have it. I don't care if he's a family man or does a lot for the community. He put people's lives in danger and he needs to pay for that. The truth is that someone like him will probably get a slap on the wrist, unfortunately, Curtis and Fara will be fired, and he will continue to get drunk while he works, and next time he will really hurt somebody. I say strip him of his license now!

BRAVO TO THE WAITER FROM HOUSTON....

This story broke over the weekend, and I've been dying to give props in my blog to this waiter from Houston, Texas, who did a pretty stand-up thing for a kid with special needs. Besides the whole Manti Te'o thing is starting to become a bit annoying! Anyway, when a group of regulars walked into Laurenzo's Prime Rib in Houston and insulted a special needs customer in the restaurant, waiter Michael Garcia did what he felt was the right thing. He said that his personal feelings kind of just took over. He walked up to the regulars and kindly told them, "I'm sorry, I can't serve you." That is awesome!

The restaurant might've lost a few customers that day, but the waiter is still being hailed for his bravado. Garcia, who's been working at Laurenzo's for the past two years, was put in charge of two groups of regulars last Wednesday night (1/16). Kim Castillo was in one of those groups that Garcia was waiting on. Her 5-year-old son, Milo, who has Down syndrome, has been eating at Laurenzo's for most of his life. He's quite popular with the staff and since he hadn't been to Laurenzo's for a few weeks, he was chatting it up about his recent birthday. Castillo said that they usually encourage Milo to say hi to people and show off his new vocabulary. Some people at the restaurant apparently didn't share Milo's excitement. Castillo and her family were sitting at their table for all of 10 minutes when a group across from them got up and moved to the back of the restaurant. Their waiter Michael Garcia didn't think much of the move until a piece of the conversation caught his ear. He heard a man in the group say, "Special needs children need to be special somewhere else." My reaction to that would have been a BIG "F-U!" to that customer if I was waiting his table. This way it would have embarrassed him in front of all the other patrons and his friends. Who makes comments like that? Only an asshole!

Needless to say, Garcia found it very disturbing and couldn't believe that the customer could say something like that in front of his own children. Garcia wondered if he would lose his job or not, but in the end, knew what the man said wasn't right. If that guy had a child with special needs, would be saying the same thing? Some people have a lot of nerve. Garcia went on to say that the comment really upset him because Milo is only a 5-year-old little boy, who is just a precious little angel. Garcia flat out refused to serve the man and his family. A few minutes later, the family walked out, glaring back at the Castillo table as if they did something wrong. That guy really sounded like a piece of work!

When Castillo heard about what Garcia had done, she was impressed and extremely grateful. She told one news station that it 'felt good that somebody would stand up for another human being.' This was a case of discrimination and was just wrong! Milo is just a little kid and shouldn't have been discriminated against. Not to mention, he certainly didn't ask to be born with Down syndrome. I swear people can be assholes! Bravo to you, Michael Garcia, for standing up for what's right in the world.
